ELEVATING MILITARY CAPABILITIES

F4 Defense International, in partnership with Corlens Inc., is advancing a practical solution based on metalens technology for next-generation optical and infrared imaging in aerial and space domains. Metalens technology, an optically flat surface, provides optical engineers with unprecedented control over wavefronts of light.

Together, F4 Defense International and Corlens are developing a product family that includes fixed-focal lenses, continuous zoom lenses, multi-zoom no-moving-part lenses, and wide field-of-view long wave infrared (LWIR) lenses—addressing many critical dual-use optical priorities. Unlike similar metalens concepts that have remained in university labs for years, this partnership is driving practical, field-ready solutions. The team is currently building an LWIR imaging prototype for thermal surveillance. This nano-optics technology enables precise manipulation of multiple wavelengths of light, allowing a single lens to replace several conventional optics—achieving superior size, weight, length, and cost advantages compared to competitors. The technology is patent-pending through Corlens.
