Who we are
F4DI is an SBA HUBZone-certified defense technology company. We design, develop, and integrate deployable systems for the Department of Defense; with focused technical depth in counter-UAS, interceptors, UAS platforms, sensors, and autonomy. We are structured as a small business but operate as a system architect and integrator: we own requirements, interfaces, and mission software, and we team with best-in-class hardware and software partners to close capability gaps.

Our expertise
F4DI’s engineering discipline spans requirements development, system architecture, prototyping, integration, and transition. We work directly with DoD program offices, service laboratories, and operational units to move technology from concept to fielded capability, not just from concept to report.
Program management and integration
We manage defense programs the way a system integrator does; owning schedule, technical baseline, interface control, and vendor coordination. We keep the design-to-test-to-transition chain intact so program offices know what they are receiving and when.
Design and development
We design counter-UAS architectures, interceptor air vehicles, UAS platforms, and sensor payloads. Our engineers own the design work in-house; airframe, payload interface, mission software, and integration approach and mature designs through prototyping and test.
Test, demonstration and transition
We plan and execute government-authorized test events, incorporate Integrated Product Team feedback, and drive the design updates required to close capability gaps. Our test work is coupled tightly to the transition path — prototype → test → demonstration → operational use.
Warfighter engagement
F4DI supports DEVCOM Soldier Center, the Army Research Laboratory, and operational units; including the 19th and 20th Special Forces Groups through the Soldier Engineer Exchange Demonstration (SEED). We put emerging technology directly in front of the warfighter and route their feedback back into the design.
